Barney Dean 

Barney is a Consultant at Kaliba, specialising in GTM and Professional Services recruitment across the technology sector in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

Before joining Kaliba, Barney spent four and a half years recruiting globally within the Retail and eCommerce technology market. During this time, he partnered with IT vendors to build high-performing teams across Sales, Marketing, Pre-Sales and Professional Services.

At Kaliba, Barney recruits roles including Account Executives, Pre-Sales Consultants and Customer Success Managers. He is passionate about building genuine relationships, understanding the markets he supports and connecting talented people with businesses where they can make a meaningful impact.

Originally from Hertfordshire in England, Barney moved to Australia in October 2025 and is now based in Melbourne. Outside of work, he is an avid Arsenal supporter, enjoys playing padel, exploring Melbourne’s food scene and adding to his sneaker collection.

Observant, driven and meticulous, Barney’s ability to read the room and understand different personalities helps him build strong relationships with both candidates and clients.
